Turn on voicemail, record greetings, and set other options such as your ring countor PIN. You can even choose to send an MP3 audio file of your voicemail messages to email.
- Super User and Administrators can set Voicemail options for all extensions on the account.
- End Users can set options for their own extension only.
Enable Voicemail and Apply Options
Your options let youturn Voicemail on or off, change aPIN, sendan audio file of your message to email, and managegreetings.
NOTES:
- Deleted voicemail messages cannot be recovered.To avoid losing messages,use the SendVoicemail to Email option to deliver an audio file of your message to one or more email addresses.
- If the voicemail box is full (5000 Messages), a greeting that states "I'm sorry. This mailbox is full." will play until some messages are deleted.
In Admin Portal (Super User / Administrator) | A user must be assigned to anextension toset up Voicemail. See Manage Your Users for details. - Signin to theAdmin Portal.

- Hover over the extension you want to manage and click thePencilicon.

Set Voicemail PIN | Click Reset PIN. Enter a PIN number between 4-10 digits, then Confirm PIN to access your voicemail, and then Save. | Voicemail Enabled | Toggle voicemail on or off. If voicemail is disabled:
- Calls ring the extension for the specified ring duration and then disconnect.
- Calls immediately disconnect without ringing the extension when Do Not Disturb is enabled and Voicemail is disabled.

Set Number of Rings
The ring count specifies how many times the phone rings before a call is directed to voicemail. Each ring is approximately 5 seconds long.

Change Voicemail PIN
Your Voicemail PIN is required to retrieve your messages.Voicemail must be enabled to set a PIN.

- Hover over the extension associated with your voicemail and click thePencilicon.
- Click Voicemail.
- Click Change Voicemail PIN and enter a number from 4 to 10 digits.

Check Voicemail Messages
A message can be up to six minutes in length and stored for up to 90 days per message.
NOTE: A maximum of 5,000 messages per extension can be stored.
From Vonage Phone
- Press the voicemail key on yourphoneor dial *99 or *100.
- Enter your Voicemail PIN.*
- Follow instructions to listen to Voicemail Messages, Record Greetings, or Change Voicemail Options.See Navigate Phone Keypad Options.
*NOTE: You will have 6 attempts to enter the correct PIN. After the 6th unsuccessful try, you will hear the following message: Your Voicemail PIN is now disabled for 30 minutes. Login to your Vonage app or contact your administrator to reset your PIN.
A disabled PIN can be enabled by either of the following:
- Wait 30 minutes from the 6th unsuccessful attempt and enter the current PIN to log in.
- Change the PIN via the Admin Portal, the Desktop App, or Mobile App for the extension. Refer to the Change Voicemail PIN option under Set Up Voicemail.
FromNon-Vonage Phone
If Not Using Call Forwarding Options | - Call your Vonage phone number. (You can dial any Vonage Phone number on your account from a non-Vonage phone to access your voicemail. The phone number doesn't have to be assigned to the extension that you are attempting to check the messages for. We do recommend calling your own number so that no one answers the call.)
- Dial Star when your greeting starts to play.
- Dial your extension number and Voicemail PIN* as prompted.
- See Navigate Phone Keypad Options.

If Using Call Forwarding (Follow Me or Simultaneous Ring) | We recommend dialing your Virtual Receptionist (VR) / Main number instead of the number assigned to your extension when the extension has call forwarding enabled. This is just for your convenience, to ensure that the call is not answered by the party to which it is being forwarded. To do this successfully, the Vonage Account Administrator or Super User must first ensure that the following option is enabled on the VR for your account: Allow the callerto dial an extension directly by entering the extension number at any time. - Call your main company phone number and then dial*101 when the greeting begins to play.
- Dial your extension number and Voicemail PIN* as prompted.

- Sign in to your Online Account.
- Click Voicemails.
- Click a voicemail for options to Play, Share or Download.
From Mobile App
- Sign in to your Vonage Mobile App.
- Tap the Voicemail icon.
- Tap on a message for options to Play.
From Email
- Verify the option forSend Voicemail to Emailis enabled.
- Check the email address you specified to receive voicemail attachments.
- Open the email and click the .mp3 attachment to listen to the message.
A Super User or Administrator can purchase Vonage Visual Voicemail, which transcribes voicemail totext.
From Call Group
By default, all Call Group members will receive call group voicemail notifications in the Vonage Desktop and Mobile apps.
NOTE: Please Contact Us to have the Call Group voicemail notifications in the Desktop and Mobile apps disabled.
Phone On the System | - Dial the call group's extension number.
- Press*when the voicemail greeting starts to play.
- Enter the call group's extension number, followed by#.
- Enter the voicemail PIN, followed by#.

Phone Off the System | The Virtual Receptionist must be set toPlay a List of Optionsand the optionAllow callers to dial an extension directly by entering it at any timemust be enabled. - Dial your company's main phone number.

Desktop App | - Log into the Desktop Appas an extension in the Call Group.
- Click Voicemail.
- On the top right, select the Call Group Extensions Voicemail Box.

Mobile App | - Log into the Mobile App as an extension in the Call Group.
- Select Voicemail.
- Each Voicemail has an indication of which voicemail inbox it belongs to.

Delete Voicemail Messages
Note: Deleting a Call Group Voicemail message deletes the message for all users.
From Vonage Phone
